A simple Korean skincare routine for Pakistani weather
You have probably seen the famous 10-step Korean routine. You do not need it. Most people in Pakistan do well with four steps, and the products just change a little between summer and winter.
Morning
- Rinse or gentle cleanse. If your skin is oily, a mild foam like Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol foam. If not, water is often enough.
- Something hydrating. COSRX Snail 96 essence or Torriden Dive-In serum.
- Moisturiser, light in summer. COSRX Snail 92 cream works for most people.
- Sunscreen, every day. This is the step that matters most here. See our sunscreen guide.
Night
- Cleansing oil if you wore sunscreen or makeup: Anua Heartleaf cleansing oil. Then your foam cleanser.
- Toner (optional). Anua Heartleaf 77 is calming and very light.
- One treatment serum. For marks and dullness, Anua Niacinamide + TXA. For redness, SKIN1004 Centella ampoule.
- Moisturiser. Richer in winter: Dynasty Cream or, for very dry skin, Aestura Atobarrier 365.
Summer vs winter
In humid months (Karachi most of the year, Lahore from May to September), go lighter and skip heavy creams. In dry winters, especially in Islamabad, Peshawar and up north, and with gas heaters running, switch to a richer cream at night and do not over-cleanse.
One rule
Add one new product at a time and give it two weeks. If something stings or breaks you out, stop it. Not sure? Message us with your skin type.
