How to spot fake Korean skincare in Pakistan
Popular Korean products get copied, and the copies are getting better. A few checks catch most of them.
- Price too good to be true. If a full-size COSRX Snail 96 is half the usual price, ask why.
- Batch code and expiry. Real products have a printed or embossed batch code and date, usually on the bottom. Smudged stickers are a warning sign.
- Korean text quality. Spelling mistakes, blurry print or odd fonts on the box.
- Texture and smell. Snail essence should be clear and stretchy, not watery. Sunscreens should not smell strongly of perfume unless the original does.
- Seal. Many products have a plastic seal or a sealed cap. Missing seals are a red flag.
- Seller. Buy from shops that will answer questions and accept a photo check.
